Privacy
Dailyd is a daily car-guessing game. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time.
What we collect
- Your guesses and results. Each day's guess, the score, how many photos you revealed and when you played. That's how scoring, streaks, medals and leaderboards work.
- A random player ID and device key. Your browser gets a random key so the game knows it's you. We only store a scrambled (hashed) version of it.
- A display name, if you pick one. It shows on leaderboards and in leagues you join.
- Your email address, only if you sign up. It's the only personal detail we keep. We use it only to send you sign-in codes. It is never shown to other players.
- Leagues you create or join. The league name, its invite code and who's in it.
We don't ask for your real name, phone number, location, birthday or contacts. There are no passwords.
What stays on your device
Your stats, medals, streaks and settings are saved in your browser's local storage so the game works quickly and offline. If you have an account, a copy of your results is kept on our server so you can bring them to another device. Dailyd doesn't set cookies.
Things we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with data brokers.
- We don't use third-party analytics, tracking pixels or social-media trackers.
- We don't send newsletters or marketing email. The only emails are the sign-in codes you ask for.
Ads
Dailyd shows one ad a day after you guess. Right now that spot is a placeholder with no ad code in it. If we add a real ad network later, it may use cookies or similar technology to show and measure ads. We'll update this page before that happens, name the network, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who helps us run Dailyd
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the game server and the database. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to deliver pages. We don't store your IP address; to stop spam we keep only a scrambled version, for a short time (normally about 2 days).
- Cloudflare Email Service sends the sign-in emails, so it handles your email address for that purpose.
Puzzle photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are stored on our own server, so viewing them doesn't contact Wikimedia.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and are deleted within a day.
- Your results, name and email stay until you delete them.
- An anonymous player who never signs up can delete their data from Settings at any time.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings › Account › Delete account (or Delete my data if you never signed up). It takes effect immediately and removes your email, display name, every result, your device keys, any pending sign-in codes and your league spots. Leagues you own pass to another member, or are deleted if you're the only one in them. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
Children
Dailyd isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect email addresses from them. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Sign-in codes and device keys are stored scrambled, codes work only once and lock after 5 wrong tries, and requests are rate-limited to stop abuse.
Changes and contact
If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll say so in the game. Questions or deletion requests: privacy@dailyd.app (placeholder, not set up yet).
